I bought the psp slim thinking that it was the upgrade to my previous psp. I'm very disappointed with Sony and their latest acts of capitalism. It's a cheap version of it. the slim has a cheap $10 stlye manual opening door, cheap shiney plastic, a lower capacity battery, and in comparing the speeds of loading games- the two are the same.
I don't think that I would buy another sony product in this lifetime nor do I recommend it.Bottom line- if you have to buy a psp, don't buy psp 2000. They should be ashamed for selling such low quality products at high prices, since their name was once synonymous with quality. They even cheapen the ps3- they took out the modules that run ps1 and ps2. Try to get your hands on the older version even if it is refurbished. That's why ps2 sales are still higher than ps3 sales not b/c of the price, there's no quality behind the name Sony anymore. DON"T BUY IT, the slim is not smaller than the original.
It's like sony got taken over by taiwan, there is no japanese (superior) quality technology, just price gouging, banking on what the name of the company and what it once stood for. There's a later version coming out this month but I doubt it would be any better "downhill" the way their products are rolling. Like in the days of the walkman- you had the $150 and up walkmen and the $10 sanyo's, the old one is the $150 walkman in the sense that it gives you quality parts(a mechanized door with eject switch for the umd, high quality impact plastic case, a larger battery capacity.). Don't believe sony's claims.
Plus have a ton of jpeg's loaded.Can't think of anyhthing it can't do. The PSP goes everywhere with me.
I hated the color (red). Cons: built in electronic keyboard is a pain to use, would like Sony to include a pair of headphones.
Pros: Great graphics, movies are awesom, but you still need headphone. It is supposed to get TVtoGo, but havn't tried it yet.
I had trouble getting the PS3 and PSP to work together but it does work with my computer. Love downloading MP3's.
Psp also saw the internet.
I spent a while trying to get that jump right and a very helpful person on the web sent me an email with a youtube video showing it done that clued me in (thanks again).Great player, great game with lots of fast action with some puzzles, lots of interesting powerups and items found, interesting story and great video clips telling the story make this a geat buy. Good puzzles, fast response and everyting works. A clue for those doing the 'double jump' across the chasm to the platforms, pause a moment before hitting the jump button the second time to make it across where he grabs the edge of the platform with his blades and can pull up over the edge. I got this from my wife for my 53rd B-Day and as a surprise it is great. The gauntlet of Zeus was a fun weapon (when you find it). It is a mature game as there is lots of violence (how else do you fight monsters and demons). Great player (PSP 2000) and a great game. and a few mild pics of brief views of breasts (nothing really to speak of) and one scene where you 'work' with a couple of slave girls (no actual action shown, just a little suggestive sounds) but nothing much really and just great fun.
The sad thing is that it doesn't come with a memory stick Great product, great movie and great bundle.
